I have to say I was super happy and excited that Disney is releasing another Studio Ghibli film! I’ve always (ever since I was little) loved the stuff that comes out of Studio Ghibli!
Well it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve seen it and as a 20 something, I would have to say this one’s for the younger crowd. Ponyo’s quite different than the other Ghibli films. It’s not as dark. The story as much simpler as well. And of course Disney dipped into their latests talents with the the youngest Jonas brother, Frankie, as the voice of Sosuke and Noah Cyrus as Ponyo. They’ve also got a few big names as voices of other characters: Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Tina Fey, and Liam Neeson.
One thing I have to give to this movie though…VERY VERY VERY catchy theme song!
